Mobile Advertising Truck Driver

We currently have an opening for a Part-Time Mobile Advertising Truck Driver on our Transit Operations Team. Based in the Twin Cities metro area, this position is responsible for traveling to various cities nationwide and providing mobile billboard advertising services for local and national clients. This part-time position is on an as-needed basis that may include: overnight travel, weekdays, weekends, day and evening hours. They will follow prescribed routes in our well-maintained truck while displaying the client’s billboard message.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Performing pre and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the mobile billboard truck is ready for the road.

  • Operating the truck in a safe manner and in compliance with local, state and federal laws traffic and commercial vehicle laws; maintaining safety at all times.

  • Maintaining the truck’s appearance and cleanliness inside and out.

  • Reading, understanding and following the provided maps and GPS navigation units to and from the customer’s market/event.

  • Reading, understanding and following the provided instructions for the customer’s campaign billboards.

  • Submission of proof of performance photos using a digital camera and/ or cellular device.

  • Must be comfortable taking photos in the field for the client; the purpose is to capture the vehicle in vehicular and pedestrian traffic.

  • Changing the billboard signs on the truck using the Company’s computerized technology.

  • Maintaining customer satisfaction and serving as a liaison between customer and Company when applicable.

  • Maintaining good communication and interpersonal skills, a clean, professional appearance and demeanor and conducting himself/herself in a positive and professional manner at all times, including but not limited to during customer’s campaigns.

  • Completing all written reports and records as requested by Company.

  • Complying with and performing all responsibilities/functions of the position; in accordance with all Company policies and procedures and applicable DOT rules and regulations.

  • Performing other responsibilities/functions of the position as may be requested by Company.

  • Drivers must be willing to travel and be away from home for extended periods of time, including nights and weekends.

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:


  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

  • At least twenty-one (21) years of age.

  • At least one (1) year experience in driving larger vehicles such as box trucks, motorhomes and busses (NO CDL REQUIRED).

  • Must have basic computer skills and be able to use a smart phone for taking photos of the truck during customer campaigns for proof of performance reports.

  • Must have and maintain clean driving record and valid active driver’s license.

  • Must pass the initial and on-going MVR checks.

  • Must be reliable, dependable, honest, a self-starter; must be able to problem solve and able to work independently.

  • Must maintain the Company’s focus on efficiency, professionalism, safety and operational excellence in order to achieve superior customer service.
